HEADSTART is a specially blended larval feed designed for the earliest stages of larval development in cultured shrimp and fish. It is pre-sized at 25 microns and is a nutritionally complete diet containing high levels of protein, HUFA, vitamins, minerals, carotenoids and enzymes: all necessary for growth, digestion and utilization of dietary nutrients, strength and survival.
PLSTART is pre-sized at 150 micron for the early PL stages.
Because larval development, especially in the zoea stage, is often sensitive to stress, pathogenic bacteria, diet deficiencies (resulting in mass mortalities), HEADSTART and PLSTART have added strength with Spirulina for its additional enzymes, vitamins and minerals.
The faithful and effective use of HEADSTART and PLSTART can prevent die-offs in any stage, strengthens the animals response to stress, and increases the overall survival ratios. Because HEADSTART and PLSTART are hydrolyzed (partially digested without destroying the natural enzymes), its nutritional quality remains complete and fully available, and is therefore highly digestible and beneficial to animals at all stages of development.
Application:
Hatchery: Drip feed or apply into tank as a substitute for dry feed at the equivalent of 5 mLs for every gram of dry feed of daily ration or until satiated. Feed at same intervals as normal feeding.
Grow-out: Milling: Substitute water with PLSTART (approximately 10% of total ingredient).
Packing: HEADSTART and PLSTART are packed in a case of 12 x 1 L bottles, 4 x 4L bottles or 20L buckets.
